Is every story in which I talk about Jay-Z going to start like that from now on? Well, at least when I talk about his haters, and boy does he have a lot.
I'm not sure, as I've said before, that we should care about the festival here in the U.S. of A., but for what it's worth, it was not without controversy.
Noel Gallagher of Oasis, a British rock band, vehemently opposed the event being headlined by Jay-Z, calling it "wrong" that the event would contain hip-hop at all. A Glastonbury traditionalist, one may say.
Jigga took out a car and sung a rendition of one of the band's songs... before turning it into 99 problems.
Many of the other acts seemed to disagree. One band performed a version of 99 problems, while another lead singer claimed to hate Jay-Z after thousands of youths had camped out to see him.
In other news, Amy Winehouse improvised the brilliant line "At least I’m not opening for a cunt like Kanye" into her song "Some Unholy War." Kanye responded on his blog in a topic only post saying that he 'finally made it' because 'Amy Winehouse hates me.'
